Mendoza offers ideal weather for olive growing: great thermal amplitude and the best organoleptic and chemical conditions.

Around 60% of the area planted with olive trees corresponds to varieties that can be canned. This is due to the great international demand. More than 20% is used to produce olive oil and the remaining 16% is planted with varieties that can fulfill both purposes.

Imitating the traditional Roads of Wine programs, a very interesting ecological tourism offer is being developed. These tours will take visitors around olive trees, some of which are over 100 years old, as well as to traditional and modern olive oil factories, and give them the chance to try Mendoza’s best cuisine.

Another tempting option is “olivetherapy” comprising anti-stress and anti-oxidant massage with extra virgin olive oil (first pressing) and olive extracts that are offered in several hotel-spas.
