It stands out as a reference to get to Parque Nacional Aconcagua, 180 km far from Mendoza city, near the borderline with Chile.

Several mountains in the neighboring area are around 5,000 m high: Catedral, Pan de Azúcar, and Tolosa. These mountains and the areas around them are great for sports in general, and trekking or climbing in particular.
