Wine road in Valle de Uco

Valle de Uco offers the visitor a wide range of opportunities. From visits through vines in which the impressive landscape of the Andes mountain range and the direct contact with nature form a unique scenery for the wine harvest, as well as tours to family and artisanal wineries or some of the most modern and magnificent wineries in the world built by well-known foreign and national investors, where one can appreciate the delicate winemaking process and be delighted with the exquisite wine tastings. Valle de Uco combines a wide range of attracting activities such as companionship, climbing, horseback ridings, fishing, native fauna sighting, among others, all these accompanied by an impressive landscape of mountains and valleys.

Tasting sessions in modern wineries serve as a foreword to this tours that allow visitors to see the highest volcano in the whole of the Andes range: Tupungato volcano (6.820 m a.s.l.), within Cordon del Plata. This landscape combines blue skies and large groves, deserts and snow-capped mountains. Visitors will also tour around Manzano Histórico (Historical apple tree) where General San Martín rested on his way back from his liberation campaign in Chile and Peru. There stands the “Retorno a la Patria” (Return to homeland) monument, the only one in which General San Martin is not wearing a military uniform. After having lunch at a winery, the tour continues along a vineyard and fruit tree-lined roads known as “Ruta productive” (Productive route). Visitors may also spend the night at a lodge among vineyards, which will surely be an unforgettable experience.
