Llancanello lagoon

The fact that more than 150,000 birds belonging to 73 different species nest here makes it a major tourist attraction. These species include flamingos, and white and black-necked swans. Due to the rich biodiversity existing in this swamp, it was declared a Ramsar Site in 1995.

In the margins of the lake can be observed chinchillas, rabbits, rheas (ñandú petiso), guanacos and eventually boar.

The entrance must be guided, considering that there is a control for the fauna of Mendoza’s Natural Resources Direction.
This one hundred thirty-kilometre tour requires a day. It is operable throughout the year.
