Known by the acronym MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), business and meetings tourism has notably grown in this city.
Even though Mendoza is a quiet and traditional city, it is also modern and dynamic. This combination renders the ideal atmosphere for conventions and conferences.
Mendoza is currently an important plaza, and it is among the first in Argentina, chosen by the private and public sector for the organization of meetings of a wide range. Undoubtedly, from the beginning of the year 2000, the activity gained momentum with the arrival of the first 4 and 5 star hotel chains, with which the renovation and the expansion of the accommodations capacity was started.
Transport, either by air or by ground, is another important service that has to be valued. In recent times, it has expanded its capacity and frequency. One of the big strengths of Mendoza resides in its proximity to Santiago de Chile International Airport. This airport has more quantity of international flights than Ezeiza Airport.

Mendoza has rooms, halls, conference centers and even fairgrounds, amphitheater and stage, which is very important when adding spaces.
It was not by chance that Mendoza hosted religious events such as the 1980 National Mariological Society Convention that gathered more than 50,000 people; cultural events such as Fiesta de la Vendimia (Harvest Festival) that is attended by 25,000 people every year; institutional events (most of which gather thousands of people), and sport events such as National league games, and summer tournaments.
